GRE Round Up for Apr. 27

There's some good stuff being turned out by the Gun Rights Examiners. I hope you're availing yourself of it, and importantly, sharing these links via emails, on blogs and forums, with your local newspaper editor, etc.

A common complaint is media bias and absence of representation for "our side."

These people work hard to change that and ask for nothing from those of us their labors serve other than to help spread the word. I hope no one thinks that's too much to ask.

Here are their latest offerings:

Anthony Bouchard/Cheyenne:
Anti-Gun Mayor Bloomberg never leaves home without his guns

Senator Burns disputes Tea Party claims on his voting record

Take your gun to church?

Daniel White/Cleveland:
Gun laws aren't the answer, they're the problem

Rob Reed/Detroit:
The readers speak and the Detroit Gun Rights Examiner listens

Liston Matthews/Knoxville:
Guns in Knoxville Starbucks?

Dave Workman/Seattle:
Kurt Hofmann/St. Louis:
Does 'gun free' Chicago need the National Guard?

Chris Woodard/Tucson:
NRA sits out gunfight with feds yet again.

Has Obama finally taken notice?

Go. Read. And please share these links.

You're doing that, right?

Grinding Chuck

Smear Job Alert

SPLC talking points disguised as news...you know, "Authorized Journalist" SOP.

Anthony Martin has the scoop.

Yeah, No Kidding

Suspects in gun violence often no strangers to law enforcement [More]
I guess this is where we say "Duh"?

The Cruelest Month

So much concentrated bedwetting in just one column. But how can you argue with the "solutions" offered by someone who says this with a straight face?
"Mayor Bloomberg is a visionary against gun violence, and acts of youth violence and murder are up, so they are holding these meetings in each borough," Cruz said.
That must explain the uptick. Or maybe she just doesn't want to get voted off the island?

Yeah, we'll be getting answers from this satisfied Rapex customer real soon.

Great coverage, "Authorized Journalist" Patrice O'Shaughnessy! One would never know there might be a different option!

And forget using "ph" instead of "f," even though your own archive spells the name of a fellow national socialist correctly. We pay you to churn out propaganda, so no points get taken away for inaccuracy--matter of fact, it's quite the opposite as far as The Daily News is concerned.

We're the Only Ones Moderate and Reasonable Enough

His aim is to force lawmakers to expand the rights of concealed-handgun owners in bars or rescind the current exception that allows law-enforcement officers and commonwealth's attorneys to carry concealed weapons and consume alcohol. [More]
How DARE he?

Some people...

Haven't we proven time and time again that only the "Only Ones" are capable of exhibiting such superhuman virtue and control (I have plenty more where those came from)? Or at least getting away with it when they don't? And that maintaining the distinction between peon and overlord is...how did His Highness A. Donald McEachin put it...? Oh, yeah, "a more moderate, a more reasonable approach."

Furious Mike's Paradise

The mayor also takes along a police detail when he travels, flying two officers on his private plane and paying as much as $400 a night to put them up at a hotel near his house; the city pays their wages while they are there, as it does whether Mr. Bloomberg is New York or not. Guns are largely forbidden in Bermuda — even most police officers do not use them — but the mayor’s guards have special permission to carry weapons. A spokesman for the Police Department declined to comment. [More]
It does seem to be a universal characteristic these wretched rich anti-gun (for everyone but themselves) hypocrites share. Oh well, just so we're clear on where you stand.

Oregon Firearms Federation has more.

We're the Only Ones Readdressing the Situation Enough

Tidwell believes that after the raid, the deputies intentionally scratched the letter "A" off the other side of the house to make it look as though their mistake was unavoidable because it looked like all one house. [More]
That seems to be the kind of thing that wouldn't occur to any but a mind practiced at such ways of thinking. You know, an "Only One."

Why is ATF Ducking Freedom of Information Response on Toy Guns?

...BECAUSE THEY CAN—no one in government or the "mainstream" media is holding them accountable. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column answers its own question.

But it's not just the media and the government that's derelict here.

As I've noted before, won't-lift-a-finger apathy is a greater impediment than the antis.
