This is the announcement Mike Vanderboegh and I have  been waiting all week for. [Read]

GREs Continue Gunwalker Coverage

From Kurt Hoffman/St. Louis and Dave Workman/Seattle:

Not Bad...

...for a term that didn't even come into being until Jan. 7...

But so far, I'm one of the "Only Ones"--using it on stuff that gets picked up by the Google news feed, that is...

You can help change that if you use the term when you contact news outlets, send them this link, and ask why they're not covering this story.

Everybody's been doing that, right?

Hard-Core Women

No, not that kind.

This kind.

Not sure why "Authorized Journalist" Kathleen Parker felt the "Toon Town" snark was necessary...I suspect it's because she wants us to know she thinks she's above it all.

We're the Only Ones with Arrested Development Enough

Arvada Police are defending the way they handled the arrest of an 11-year-old boy.  The Arvada boy was arrested and hauled away in handcuffs from his home for drawing stick figures in school - something his therapist told him to do. [More]
How unoriginal. Really.

Here are our "Super Heroes" in action!  No telling what the kid being hauled off in the picture did:

They actually think this about themselves? That's...pathological.

Yeah, you guys showed a lot of character, commitment, integrity, honor and courage, all right, handcuffing and kidnapping a little kid over a damned stick drawing.

When are you gonna haul away this guy?

Or better yet, I'm yo' huckleberry...

You idiots must really want people to hate you.

Keep it up. Nice to see government being effective at something...

Revival

There was another story I've touched on before, and I've been receiving updates on it, but "Project Gunwalker" has kept me so dang busy I have not had time to do anything with it.

You remember Leonard Embody?  Here's a recent email:
My lawsuit against the state was dismissed in summary judgment on 1-21-11. I filed for an amended order and my petition was granted on 2-14-11. This is my lawsuit against the state of Tennessee which claims that Tennessee law prohibiting the loaded carry of handguns is facially unconstitutional.

His lawsuit has been revived. Here are some related news links :

And yeah, I know there's no shortage of diss-Embodyers who say he makes us all look bad.  Most of those critics say I make us all look bad, too.

I didn't get into this to be good-looking, and yeah, I know, no danger of that...

We're the Only Ones Getting it Off Our Chest Enough

Or putting it in our chest...[Read]

Sure glad these guys are just plain better than you and me, to where the law makes all kinds of exceptions for them to carry guns where and when you and I are forbidden to...

All this and cattle rustling too?  You can't make this stuff up.

CNN's Savidge, Guests Gang Up on Supporter of Concealed Carry on Campus [More]
I know the feeling.

Still, if you know what you're talking about, anybody who begins their argument with "I'm from Canada" has already lost.

I see no contentions raised by the assemblage of hoplophobes that aren't the same unoriginal and hysterical talking points we deflate every day.

Still, it's telling that these circling media jackals are afraid to face a man one-on-one.  Maybe that's why the thought of a lone defender capable and equipped to repel many terrifies them so...

This appears to have been written without an anti-gun bias. Be nice if that was the expectation, rather than the pleasantly surprising exception.

TSRA has more.

From their email alert:
For the past fourteen years, Bare Arms has operated without accident or complaint. Recently a Dallas Developer, Frank Nuchereno with Anthony Properties, purchased 200 acres adjoining the range and has attempted to squeeze out the little gun range. So far an injunction against Bare Arms has been denied but the attempt required this small business owner to hire legal counsel.

Ah, here he is.

Huh. I didn't realize Texas politicians had the sole proprietary claim...
Texas is preparing to impose fewer illegitimate infringements on the right of college students and professors to carry guns on campus...
There. Fixed it.

New ‘Project Gunwalker’ allegations could expand Grassley investigation

Revelations on CleanUpATF brought “Project Gunwalker” to light in the first place, and those allegations have been consistently bolstered by all who have examined them since Vanderboegh and this correspondent first started reporting on this unfolding story. The credibility factor for charges being substantiated remains high, and Senator Charles Grassley and others pressing forward with investigations must take these new allegations very seriously, and make them part of their fact-finding efforts. This Day in History: February 23

On February 23, 1779 Clark and his group were within three miles of the Fort at Vincennes. They were able to take a British prisoner who told them everything they needed to know. Clark knew he was outnumbered, so he devised a plan to make it seem that there were a lot more men than forty-seven storming the Fort. Vincennes sat on the top of a mountain. He had his men march around in a circle around the fort. The British and the Indians thought there were thousands of soldiers outside. The Indians ran for their safety. That left about 150 British soldiers inside the fort. [More]
