All We Need to Know

Around 27,000 men and women desert the Mexican military every year, and about 50 percent of the military's recruiting class will have left before the end of their first tour. In March 2011, the Mexican army admitted that it had "lost track of" 1,680 special forces personnel over the past decade...[More]
Meaning our government is allowing "legal" weapons sales to their government knowing military firearms and ordnance will make their way to the cartels. No other explanation makes sense but that a core of evil, powerful bastards are counting on it for ambitious reasons of their own.

What have been effects of politics and new media on 'Gunwalker'?

I believe what is ultimately called for is a truly independent counsel--not one reporting to DOJ, as current law provides, because that can create a fox/henhouse situation, and we've already seen many indications of the current OIG investigation being politically limited and compromised--which means Congress needs to re-up the office that expired in 1999. That will be the test of whether or not they have been effective, in my opinion.

In re new media, I believe Gunwalker is a milestone of sorts, because it truly is a major story that had to be brought to the networks and newspapers, and they still resist reporting on it at all, let alone not embedding their reporting with their own agenda. I believe it shows the monolith press is no longer the sole gatekeeper for information, as the internet has given us a way to bypass them. [More]

We're the Only Ones Lewd Enough

Images posted on the internet show what appears to be the officer in a sexual act with a woman. Another picture shows a woman posing naked next to a police badge and doing an obscene act with a pistol. Even more concerning are pictures of child porn.[More]
Right, it's "absolutely not reflective of this agency"--the three only comprise about 6% of your department (I'll bet if that same percentage were applied nationwide, we'd have a small army!)

Thank goodness the "good apples" in Wylie are out there protecting us from citizens with pepper spray!
