The Blame Game

Right lady. It's Fox News's fault. [More]

A Face in the Crowd

What strikes me most about this, aside from the scary government implications, is the thought that this many bread and circus rubes would hit the streets over a damn hockey game. [More]

The pH Factor is strong in these. Life must be good. Western civilization, for the most part, will never know what hit it.

We're the Only Ones Escalating Enough

A frantic 911 call is shedding light on a police mistake that turned a lunch date into a showdown with officers. [More]
And naturally, "The two officers, Ariel Savage and Daniel McClain, remain on the force."

"Legitimate Media" Hard at Work

All the news we see fit to print. [More]

In other words, you can learn about this from some blogger in Ohio, but not from the major area newspaper in Oregon.

"Authorized Journalists." Is it any wonder we love them so?

We're the Only Ones Heroic Enough

The Obvious Solution

Sue the $h!+ out of EMC if one of the schools they will cover is shot up. [More]

I'm sure if a shooter started opening up on kids, ol' Bernie Zalaznik would be quite the hero.

He's got "90 percent of Kansas’ 286 school districts"?

Be interesting to find out if any palms got greased to result in such market dominance.

Alamo, Washington

A coalition of Washington firearms community leaders is today launching a grassroots campaign to counter the well-financed gun control initiative backed by a Seattle-based gun control group, while also preventing firearms confiscation “by any government agency…without due process.” ... Another member of the WAC board observed that Washington “is the Alamo,” where gun owners are drawing a line in the sand and making a stand. National attention will be paid to the competing initiative campaigns in Washington, because if gun prohibitionists essentially buy an election here, they will do it elsewhere. [More]
Dave Workman puts out an urgent appeal.  Please read this, share this, help with this and urge your gun-owning friends to do the same.

Bloomberg on Parade

His armed bodyguard was sentenced to seven years for attempted murder.

His AstroTurf  bus tour group is calling the Boston bomber a victim of gun violence.

This guy is like a gift.

One thing I want to caution everyone to be careful of is following false leads to where the next bus tour stop will be--unless you can validate it with an email from the No More Names/MAIG group, I'm seeing signs that some with an agenda may be spreading disinformation to send gun activists on wild goose chases.

The best way to validate is to sign up for notification yourself (noting which states the bus will tour to).

National Guard vs Militia: A Graphic Argument

Tony Wilson created a graphic from today's GRE that may prove useful in chasing liars up a tree and leaving them hanging.

Laws discriminate against sex as well as age in Illinois FOID case

Females are clearly being discriminated against by federal law, as they are excluded from recognition as members of the unorganized militia on the basis of sex. That such a law would withstand challenge is doubtful without a redefinition of militia composition to recognize the realities of the role women are capable of and entitled to. That this law has been allowed to stand as written for so long, and that no bill has been introduced to recognize discriminatory exclusions that can be used to deny standing to women, is a discussion Gun Rights Examiner hopes to start with this column. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report starts a national dialogue on the composition of the "unorganized militia" that needs to end with a revision to U.S. Code.  Which politician will have the guts to introduce a bill, and how will those who oppose it justify such blatant, gender-based discrimination?
