New Jersey Considers Mandatory Gun "Buybacks"

Kurt's latest JPFO Alert profiles a domestic enemy. [More]

What a contemptible creature this McKeon character is.What a sorry excuse for an American and pathetic excuse for a man.

About the only point of agreement I can find is his placement as Chair of the Solid Waste Committee.  That somehow seems fitting.

Resistance is Futile. You Will Be Assimilated.

China is Hong Kong’s future – not its enemy [More]
So says the Western author of "When China Rules the World: The End of the Western World and the Birth of a New Global Order." You know, the former editor of Marxism Today.

But before that can happen, we need to get rid of all you pesky human rights violators.

Fabricating Freedom

Wilson’s goal of enabling anyone to privately fabricate an untraceable gun is part of a larger anarchist mission: To show how technology can render the entire notion of government obsolete. He’s spent the last two years developing firearms designed to be printed as easily as ink on a page, neutering attempts at gun control. “This is a way to jab at the bleeding hearts of these total statists,” Wilson says. “It’s about humiliating the power that wants to humiliate you,” he says. [More]
Yep. And that must always start out as a do-it-yourself project.

UPDATE: I should have known Kurt would be all over this.

Troxler's Dodge

It ain't a car, even if the fork-tongued viper does dart from challengers. [More]

Who the dickens does this "official" think he is?

I know the requested action was yesterday, but hopefully this will at least further demonstrate how insincere weasel-worders continue putting the screws to us.

In the Eye of the Beholder

BACKGROUND CHECKS A FAILURE. [More]
If anyone actually expects them to be crime-stoppers, well yeah, of course.

But that's not what they're for.

Some consider them a success.

We're the Only Ones Decapontating Enough

Though Ashley Turnbull admits she had received warnings at least a week in advance about the ordinance, she said there was no reason to beat her son's chicken to death with a shovel before decapitating it. [More]
Sure there was. He made clear he could do it and there's not a damn thing you or anyone else could do to prevent it without bringing the entire force of the state down on you, didn't he?

The later apology (that actually wasn't) merely provided political cover for his masters.

Meanwhile, the headless chicken HuffPo PopoPuffers still insist on a monopoly of violence.

Good Question for Once

Ayup.

Plus he's white and not a female, the bastard.

Of course, the same question could be asked of every "progressive action hero."

Ain't that right, Sly and Arnhole?

Matt?

I could, of course, go on and on, but the point has been made, except for one added observation:

Don't forget greedy swine producers. You see some of the movies this tub of goo has made a fortune off of?

Jeez, Harvey-- what happened to your anti-violence movie vow?

Oh...

"Not That Bad On Guns"

That's what one California gun activist told me about Jerry Brown over the weekend in Chicago.

I agree.

He's terrible.  I guess not sticking the knife in your guts all of the time is what makes him "moderate" to some.

He sucks on due process, too.

What happened in California with the demonic Isla Vista nutjob is that formerly A-rated anti-gunner Bill Brown's guys failed to do a thorough job, even though the "legal" tools already existed to determine the little monster had guns and to take him in for observation.

Questions I still want to see answers for: Was any deference given because of who the kid was? Would the son of someone of lesser means have been carted off for 72 hours of evaluation? Are there records of communications that show what the mother and deputies said to each other, and if anyone else, like the family lawyer, got involved?

Meanwhile, as is typical and not unexpected, everyone who didn't "do it" is being punished.

Me, I want to see what someone victimized by these new powers has to do to get his guns back, and if those options are dependent on access to a personal fortune.  I want to see if mental health professionals have a mechanism whereby they can proclaim someone so disabled of now being "safe," and not fear that will leave them personally and professionally liable if they're wrong.  I want to see if "family" members who may have other motives, including revenge and greed, are slapped down hard for abusing this.

Border Sleight of Mind

When Ron Zermeno warned of the secret relocation of illegal immigrants, CBP disciplined him. [More]
When they stop and harass you at a nowhere-near-the-border checkpoint, just remember that is all for distraction.  The real danger, the one that those abrogating your freedom are abetting for evil purposes of their own, is happening out of sight. The intent is for you to never know what's happening until the trick is over, and then not be able to figure out how they did it.

It's basic misdirection and distraction, the reason "magic" shows fool audiences... and since the whole scam depends on performers never revealing their secrets and spoiling the illusion, anyone who gives away act secrets will not be treated kindly.

There's a reason why those who are easily fooled are referred to as rubes, suckers, marks...
