'Offensive to Women'

Kellie Leitch's Pepper Spray Proposal Is 'Offensive' To Women: Patty Hajdu [More]
Because it puts the "onus" of personal well-being responsibility on them, when all we have to do is teach boys not to grow up bad. Or something.

Comments are equally forehead-slappingly stupefying.

Not to totally go off on a tangent, but a quote from Lex Luthor to Otis comes to mind. As does everything on South Park about Canadians.

Patty Hajdu and some of the commenters' prove the old saying that "a liberal would rather a women be raped and murdered than defend herself in any way". I would venture to say it also proves "liberalism is a mental disorder". But hey, Canada!

I wonder what would happen if potential rape victims offered to perform fellatio instead of having their vagina or anus injured by a brutal attacker? Once they had the perp in position, they could bite down and attempt to bite the offending member clean off. Be interesting in court, wouldn't it? Even if they were unable to completely sever the organ, at the very least they would severely damage it and produce at least temporary if not permanent impotence.

"Her misguided approach places the onus on women to defend themselves rather than focusing on addressing and preventing gender-based violence."

How exactly do you prevent "gender-based violence"? Anesthesia? Euthanasia?

Besides neglecting the concept of female "gender-based violence" directed towards men, how would you prevent gender-neutral (male on male, male on female, female on male, female on female) violence?

Are females the only gender worthy of possessing the means of effective defense?
