Lies of Omission on ASK

T.L. Davis is working on a film designed to jar millenials and their parents into consciousness. [More]
Andrea Shea King interviews him this evening. Starting in under an hour from now...

UPDATE: And it's now posted at the same link.

A Faulty Premise

I love having a gun-free campus. I love being able to know that, at least in theory, I am safe from the horrors that guns can cause. [More]
I'm afraid a hypothesis rising to the level of a "theory" is a tad more involved than articulating a primitive superstition.

But what should we expect? The impressionable child is dependent on critical thinking leadership from the likes of Bruce.

Homogeneity

It's gotta be ideological, centered on a Bill of Rights culture. [More]

Reject being called a "racist."

Don't shy from claiming "culturist." Because some cultures are demonstrably superior at producing freedom than others.

Riptide

Dozens arrested, more than 50 illegal firearms seized in federal sting operation across Norfolk [More]
Ooh. Cool Op name. Sounds like a TV show.

Here's what I was looking for:
Ten of the 12 federal defendants were felons, officials said. Prosecutors alleged seven were affiliated with the United Blood Nation street gang.
There oughtta be a law.

Liberty Doll

Jeffersonian asks if I'm familar with her YouTube videos.

I know about them now.  I'll have to make time to watch some.

Baggage Claim

Austin police announced on Wednesday they have made two additional arrests in connection with an Austin airport baggage handler who was stealing handguns from baggage that he sometimes traded for marijuana, police and the Justice Department said.  [More]
Between these morons and TSA thugs, who thinks "airport security" is anything more than Kabuki theater...?

Full House

That's the next stop for a "comprehensive gun bill" IFC is backing. [More]

We're the Only Ones Foot-Dragging Enough

The review finds fault with the speed of the agents' response to the evidence against the three Lancaster men. [More]
Hey, but then they couldn't have ensured the guns would turn up at a Mexican crime scene to feed the administration's narrative about U.S. gun sales.

Besides, the media can just refer to it as a "botched gun sting" and no one will care, let alone be held accountable.

A Benign Explanation

Nancy Pelosi’s Dementia [More]
I prefer to think of it as calculated treason by a domestic enemy.

Then again, do you care if a killer is crazy or evil when the immediate need is to stop him?

Baltimore Focuses on Guns to Distract from Top-Down Incompetence, Corruption

And naturally, to deal with that, corrupt and incompetent public “officials” do what corrupt and incompetent public “officials” do everywhere their utter worthlessness at achieving anything other than self-promotion and enrichment is exposed: They call for ratcheting up citizen disarmament, and pass stupid new edicts that will have zero effect on predators incubated, sustained and made inevitable by a wealth redistribution-dependent constituency.  [More]
If they don't know what else to do, or if they don't want people looking too closely at them, "progressive" politicians have learned all they have to do is scream "Gun!"

More On Outcasts

It looks like that wasn't the first Outcast Voters League gun stunt
with media complicity. Good thing it appears to be a toy.
You know that Outcast Voters League calling for more "gun laws" while violating existing ones?

I can't find a record of them being a nonprofit anywhere, including the AL Secretary of State corporation records, Guidestar and Melissa Data. I did find a record of them being a PAC.

I wonder if member donations help pay for their activities? Anybody know how to navigate the system to find financial reports?

Interesting, one of their big causes is absolving ex-Bloomberg mayor Larry Langford of his crimes.

I'd forgotten I wrote this. And I'd forgotten these additional Frank Matthews "character" indicators:
Matthews had used “racially-derogatory language to cast aspersions” on Langford’s opponent during the 2007 Birmingham mayoral election, headed a campaign to support Langford during his trial, and was ultimately fired from his position with the city after “profanity laced” tirade. He responded to his firing by calling then-acting mayor Roderick Royal “’Napoleon’ and a ‘liar.’”
It’s also documented that Matthews was behind campaign flyers attacking Langford’s rival for supporting an openly gay candidate, and that he did so using a “Paid for by Faith in Birmingham” disclosure (another group not registered with the Alabama Secretary of State). Curiously, and deceptively, because his political alliances are Democrat, that earned him a featured spot on People for the American Way’s “Right Wing Watch” site, which characterized Matthews’ surreptitious campaign as “Gay-Baiting in Birmingham: Syphilis, Sexual Perversion, and Personal Grievances.”

Police Tested, Gun-Grabber Approved

New holster forces all nearby body cams to start recording when gun is pulled [More]
Don't be surprised to see some "progressive" politician introduce a bill requiring this for permit holders.

Anybody else laugh at the part about  camera footage being "accidentally deleted"?

UPDATE: WarOnGuns Correspondent Florida Guy sends word on a similar development.

We're the Only Ones Hounded Enough

New Jersey Police Officer Shoots Himself in the Foot While Fleeing Dogs [More]
Don't you hate it when that happens?

So the dogs didn't actually attack the girl?  Yet they were "running loose on the property"?

Nice house. Unmistakeably posted. It wouldn't have one of those underground electronic pet fences would it?  And did he cross the line?

Plenty of properties where I live have such yard containment systems. The Mrs. and I take walks, and sure enough, some of the bonehead pooches get excited and vocal about it as we pass by, but it's all a territorial display, and they know where to stop. We mind our business, don't acknowledge the dogs (which can agitate them) and keep walking. No problem.

The one time one got loose, I convinced him to let me take him home. Of course, not being afraid of dogs (and being prepared to deal with ones that don't know their place) helps convey proper attitude.

Here's hoping they let the dogs, who were only doing their jobs in "strict gun control" New Jersey, out of quarantine. They only wanted to stay home at the end of his shift.

We're the Only Ones Drive-By Shooting Enough

Police say Sgt. Michael Booker accidentally fired his gun and struck a man who was driving in his car while the SWAT team was responding to a barricade nearby. [More]
And if this can happen with highly-trained operators, just imagine how many times you and I must have done this.

What's in a Name?

Police say two young men are accused of brutally beating a 55-year-old man to death in an Oakland park and stealing $1.14 from him ... 19-year-old Jabari Jones and 18-year-old Breshawn Clark were arrested last week on suspicion of murder. [More]
Oh, those madcap "teens."

In the interests of fairness and understanding, I'd own up to having "name privilege" within the predominant (for now, in places) culture. Still, not doing this anonymously has pretty much ruined mine as far as many who portray themselves as "tolerant" and embracing of "diversity" are concerned.

Not So Pretty Little Liars Redux

Our story so far:

Not being obsessed with Bloomberg's newest celebrity spokesflack, Troian Bellisario, I'd assumed from the caption on her fan girl's Twitter post ("Me, if anyone ever tries to say Troian doesn't love her fans") that the photo was of @MyQueenTroian ("Marie") holding a gun. That looks to have been a mistake. It appears the photo was of the "starlet"herself.

Marie's Twitter account is active again (albeit the gun photo post resulting in the "Sorry, that page doesn't exist!" message has been deleted, and damage control was evidently the cause of the temporary outage).  This "discussion" thread on my article appears to corroborate that the photo is of Bellisario:

I had to look up "Patrick," because knowing who these people are has never been a priority, and he's evidently her husband, another overprivileged, self-absorbed "progressive" from the looks of his Twitter account. How old the photo is and where it was taken may have bearing, because if it was in California, unless it was part of a professional gig and issued by a licensed prop master, replica guns without fluorescent coatings or markings are illegal to possess.* (In Patrick's native Canada, the prohibition is even more complete.)

Real ot not, that's one hell of a pose for a "common sense gun safety advocate" to strike. Let's hope Bloomberg's Pretty Little Liar is also not Bloomberg's Pretty Little "Gun Criminal." Assuming the gun not being "real" isn't also a pretty little lie.

In any case, it's gratifyng to know Everytown and attn: put money into this video, and to note in spite of that and all the free publicity, it has only attracted 2,345 views at this writing. And from the looks of the comments, most have come over from the Liberty side and aren't buying into the crap. My guess is exposing inconvenient disconnects has rendered it useless as a tool.
