Veteran ATF Whistleblower Rips Acting Director’s Testimony to House Oversight

“Mr Brandon has been the DD AND Acting Director of ATF for over 4 years, and he didn't understand what being invited to testify before a Congressional oversight committee entailed?” Cefaulu asked incredulously. “I call outright b*******. [More]
The stonewalling continues. What remains to be seen is if the Trump administration will let them get away with it.

Suitable Only for Murder Most Foul, Eh?

The court had previously established that such weapons have "no peaceful purpose" and that any "‘implement for the infliction of serious bodily injury which serves no common lawful purpose shall not be allowed to exist in our society.” [More]
I guess "the court" doesn't get out much.

But the real question is -- if their premise is correct -- why is there an "OnlyOnes" exemption?

We're #45!

Take it away, Sally.

"45"? I knew I'd pay for those stretch marks in the swimsuit competition. Actually, I'm still not clear on what criteria was used.

I really didn't know what to think when I got an email notifying me of this and inviting me to post code to display a "Top 100" badge. My first thought was that someone was trying to get me to pay to appear in their "Who's Who," or that the links could go to a malware or identity theft site.

PC Mag says they're legit, so this "Top 100" business must be a way to establish symbiosis with blogs considered to be most likely to help promulgate their RSS feed service. I'll check out what I need to do to  add their gadget to the sidebar later, when I get a break.

The thing is, if I were doing this to be popular, this would be a celebrity blog, and the only thing I'd have to say about guns would be to parrot words of horrified condemnation.

Oath-Breaking Political Turncoat Flores Betrays Gun-Owning Florida Supporters

In other words, she does not support the right of the people to keep and bear arms. She prefers so-called “gun free zones,” with prohibitions backed up by the force of law. And that’s curious, to say the least, seeing as how in the last election campaign, Flores’ opponent used her supposed “pro-gun” stance and National Rifle Association grade against her (the NRA Political Victory Fund website, accessible to members only, notes she was given an “A” rating). I emailed the guy:
In regards to the “official” birth certificate released by the White House that many are saying is not the actual document, if the state government of Hawaii cannot by law release a copy to anyone but the former president or a relative, why not use your status as his brother to obtain what is in their records?  ... I’m sure there are interested parties here who could assist with legal and funding issues to ensure this is done in the manner prescribed by law.
I freely admit I don't "know," but that's the point: Who but someone with an agenda would object to finding out for sure?

A "bonus" takeaway I get from all this: If we can't definitively resolve this controversy, how in the world can government claim to be able to thoroughly vet all those foreign nationals it's bringing in by the boatload?
