I, Nazi

Wishing people “merry Christmas” instead of “happy holidays,” is thus in line with Trump’s decision to ban citizens of Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States, critics say. It fits neatly with his refusal to condemn white supremacists when they march against diversity, and with his condemnation of athletes who protest police brutality against black men. [More]
God (Allah? Gaia?), I am so sorry

And I just found out "It's a Wonderful Life" is "inherently sexist."

I guess people like me are too old and hateful for reeducation camps, so all that's really left is to turn in those guns and go stand over by that ditch.  Because face it, I'll never be able to make restitution for all that racial and gender privilege I've been exploiting at the expense of oppressed minorities.

It's a B.S. Degree, I Presume

Merrimack College is offering undergraduates an opportunity to earn a degree in social justice and experience “real-world learning in the field.” [More]
"The field"? I see "social worker" criminal justice" and "social media," but I'm having a tough time finding an exact match.

At what point are students sold a bill of goods on worthless degree programs going to try and hold schools and lenders accountable?

No, of course not. That would be intolerant.

At least that's their cover. Why the Independent repeats it as gospel is on them.

Anyway, welcome to the party pals, because I've already met 'em.

Why is it these champions of workers for the most part look like they've never worked a day in their lives? And despite a press trying mightily to spread the word, you'd think they'd have at least amassed >7,000 Twitter followers by now.

I mean, they do speak for the masses, right?

Speaking of Twitter, here they are claiming alliance with Mary.

Yeah, about that...

Under whose authority was the crucifixion ordered? Oh, that's right, a centralized, brutal, atheist and totalitarian state...

So when are the gun-grabbers going to accuse them of having blood on their hands? Or would that not help with the wider agenda?

Scott Walker Reprises Gold Hat Role

Presumption of innocence?
We ain't got no presumption of innocence.
We don't need no presumption of innocence.
I don't have to show you any stinking presumption of innocence.
“Every year in Wisconsin, thousands of people, mostly women, seek help from law enforcement and the legal system, because they believe someone they have a relationship with, may harm them,” Governor Walker said. [More]
Or at least they say they do.

And the upshot?
...a procedure for persons prohibited from possessing a firearm under domestic abuse, child abuse, or harassment injunctions to turn over their firearms. If the person does not surrender firearms as required, the court can issue a warrant for the person’s arrest.
Without even being charged with a crime, let alone convicted?

With "battle-tested leader in the fight to preserve Second Amendment rights" like these, who needs gun-grabbers?

You Can Stop the Signal?

War On Guns Correspondent Neil W was one of the readers who sent me a link that resulted in this post. As is my practice, I sent him my link to let him know his tip was used.

Facebook marked my reply as spam on a thread he initiated with me. It's not the first time he's alerted me to that.

My whole policy on "social media" -- I don't use it for social stuff, but solely to publicize my work.  As such, I don't send out "friend requests" because that would be spamming. All of my "friends" initiated contact with me, and I screen them to try and avoid trolls and whores.  Ditto, I find I'm in a lot of groups I never even heard of -- someone took it on themselves to add me. So if any of those don't want to see my links, they're free to back away.

What I don't know is if an anti did slip in and has filed spam complaints, if someone or some algorithm at Facebook is doing it, or if this particular account has a security setting triggering a spam designator. Naturally there is no obvious way to contact anyone on Team Zuckerberg and who's got time to waste on "help groups"?

Right now I have one question: Anybody else on Facebook seeing my links tagged as spam?

I can't shake a nagging feeling that the release of this is designed to evoke a "Nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure" public response. I'm also not sure if this is a ploy by Rocket Man to make him look bigger than he is.

Then again, there's always the possibility things are as they appear. That's the problem when the default position is to no longer trust the government and media to tell the truth, and to assume you're being played.

ShotSpotter Alerts Police To Lots Of Gunfire, But Produces Few Tangible Results [More]
Who knew?

Per WarOnGuns Correspondent William T:
I read your article re: the missing Captain, and noted your tongue-in-cheek reference to "CopSpotter". For whatever reason, I decided to do a search to see how effective the ShotSpotter system might be. If the article I found is anywhere near accurate, ShotSpotter is worthless. I used this Forbes article as the basis of the attached S/S.

I downloaded the data files Forbes purportedly used to produce their article, but was unable to reconcile the raw data to the web article. I'm attaching the ZIP file I downloaded, as well as an Excel spreadhseet that demonstrate how useless ShotSpotter is. Hope it's useful.

But hey, you get the budget, you gotta spend it if you want to "justify" more next year.  Isn't that the way it works?

Plus if your ineptitude and corruption allows things to get too hot, you can always hold another "buyback" dog and pony show.
