And why not?

Leading "conservative thinkers" think the idea is just the thing to offer up to those who want it all.

Armed American Radio Redux

Last night's program is now posted for those who did not hear it live. I was on for Hour Three. [Listen]

Notorious Projection

Two antigovernment militia groups, including the notorious Oath Keepers, have been tapped to run “private security” for the rally. [More]
I guess after their first attempt at inspiring a domestic terrorist to attack pro-marriage/pro-life advocates failed to amass the desired body count they need to amp up the rhetoric.

And oh, look:

Jeez guys, can we all use that word now? Or is it reserved for our virtue-oozing superiors?

They didn't even spell it out on"Raw Story" where SPLC linked to, and in any case, there is absolutely no evidence as to who the perpetrator is. I guess any acknowledgement that such obscenities so often turn out to be self-serving hoaxes would not help advance the hate profiteer agenda.

We're the Only Ones Deplorable and Unsanitary Enough

And the Fox News story, which will not allow access to links from Blogger, is titled "Florida's 2016 'Officer of the Year' arrested after feces, guns, drugs allegedly found in his 'disgusting' home." [More]

So to be clear, this was one of the "good apples"...?

In the absence of candid forthrightness, expect interested parties to go looking on their own. I always advocate for maintaining healthy skepticism, but not to the point that it keeps original investigative journalism from being considered.

This one looks like it deserves consideration. Along with questions about where the hell "our" Authorized Journalists are...

Nothing new here. Since when has truth or proof factored into anything she and her supporters stand  (fall?) for?

For Shame?

It is a shame that so many Americans are unable or refuse to see what many immigrants see: that it was under this white majority that millions of oppressed people -- of all colors and creeds -- from around the world were rescued from tyranny, Sharia law, slavery, discrimination, Islamism and a miserable existence under corrupt, war-torn and famine-stricken nations. Instead, many seem to want to bring all that here. [More]
It's more than a shame.

Calling it a full-blown conspiracy would not be an exaggeration.

The Party of Criminals

Organizers said 94 percent of inmates at the jail are eligible to vote. The program is part of an effort to give more people in the criminal justice system the ability to vote. [More]
Anybody know if this has a distinct precinct number that we can check for a preponderance of votes for gun-grabbing Democrats who are doing their part to represent their consituency's interests?

Radio-Active Sunday Afternoon

My conversation with Paul Valone starts around 33 minutes in. But listen to the whole thing, because before me he talks to the young man who quit Dick's.

Peace!

Longtime readers will note things slow down around here on weekends, generally limited to announcements promoting my work. That doesn't mean I'm not busy with the myriad things behind the scenes to keep that work happening, and it's also a time for much-needed personal downtime and family interactions.

That does not stop the tips from coming in by the score. I currently have 133 emails I have not yet had time to look at, and most of those are links to articles I'm being asked to read and then comment on.

I'm sorry. There's one of me. I just can't get to them all.

I appreciate that people care enough to take time out of their lives to want to share things with me, and also appreciate most of those things are important. So I apologize that I can't return the consideration many of you show me.

Please don't take it as me being unappreciative and ungrateful. I'm quite the opposite, especially for your understanding on this.

The Game Plan

They want to make de facto criminals out of the majority of the gun owning population. That way, they can essentially pick us off, one by one. [More]
That and wait for us bitter clingers to die off.  Totalitarians understand long marches.

And that's why we need to reinvigorate our long-term defenses against that.

Justice Department proposes banning rapid-fire bump stocks [More]
So asking us what we thought was just a procedural formality, and they didn't really give a damn?

If Trump can do this, what could a Democrat successor do with such tyrannical precedent -- and have some "progressive" agenda judge uphold?

Thanks, NRA. Brilliant 3-D chess there!

Showing some infringements are acceptable gives a green light to this.

And what better way to demotivate gun owners from giving a damn about voting so the next president is a Democrat?

Don't worry. Be happy.

Resentment, Maybe?

He said he kept his firearms in his vehicle because his wife didn’t want them in their home. [More]
That may explain the headline. I wonder how many other ballless milquetoasts are at the snapping point.

And just  how does it secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity to let such "guests" into the country in the first place, and then turn a blind eye when they wear out their welcome? Yet "vetting" is somehow "racist"?

If only they would disarm us damn NRA members!

Counting on Ignorance

Is This Anti-Pelosi, Pro-Gun Pennsylvania Democrat Showing His Party The Way To Win Back Trump Voters? [More]
Well let's just see about that:
There are only four real options on immigration, Lamb explains. One, try to kick every undocumented immigrant out. Two, legalize the Dreamers—undocumented immigrants brought here as children—but try to kick out all the other migrants here illegally. Three, “the Dreamers obviously should stay,” and “the other 11½ million people, who knows how they got here, but they’re here, they’re in the shadows, that’s not really helping anybody, [so] let’s find a way to pull them out [of the shadows.]” And then there’s four: no change, continue the current policies.
“I really believe that if you present those four options to people, 90 percent choose option three,” he says, adding that he also supports increased border security, but at ports of entry, not a wall.
This is the self-defeating inevitability when Fairfaxian 3-D chess falling back on the fraudulent "single issue" deferral keeps them deliberately silent on the greatest danger gun owners face.

And gun owners who haven't been informed and thought things through will be glad to accomodate.

Whaddya Know: Slim IS Pretty Shady

Eminem attacks NRA in awards show performance [More]
Maybe he should be attacking cowardly assholes who threaten and abuse others with guns, like this out-of-control douchebag:
Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, was charged after he allegedly pistol-whipped John Guerra last June 4th at Hot Rock nightclub in Warren. Eminem claims that he saw Guerra kissing Eminem's now-estranged wife, Kim Mathers. The rapper pled guilty to the concealed weapons count on February 14th. In exchange, prosecutors dismissed a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon. As part of the deal, Eminem and his attorneys could have withdrawn the guilty plea if they were unhappy with Vivianio's sentence. The case would have then gone to trial.
Plus he can afford the best lawyers money can buy. No "white /money" privilege there for the punk cuckboy. He not only wasn't smart enough not to get into an altercation, he didn't have the guts to take his "rival" on man-to-man. And what kind of dumb-ass carries and then pulls an unloaded gun (assuming that part is even true)?

And "two years probation" = "prohibited person." But it's OK because Marshhole can also afford an armed bodyguard (and get into an "armed standoff" with him), which makes it easy for him to be anti-your gun.

I guess the kind with the "judgement" to take "up to 60 Valium and 30 Vicodin pills a day," we'll be looking to him as a moral leader real quick.

As for rapper Common adding his two cents, at least he's honest about Demanding Moms. "Progressives" will give him a pass on that and his "homophobia," though, because the greater agenda of advancing the nascent totalitarian state's monopoly of violence is being advanced by this useful idiot.

Besides, who is qualified to care more about children than someone who had his own son aborted and who supports the Margaret Sanger Eugenics Foundation big time?

Talk about excuse-making:
Rarely is abortion discussed in hip-hop, and especially not to the extent that Common does on this single. He appears to have mostly come to terms with the decision, but a somber tone of regret lingers. It makes for a sad story, but knowing that the unborn child's nonexistent life may be better than the circumstances into which it would have been born is oddly satisfying.
Bullshit. That's why a man is supposed to man up and crawl over broken glass if that's what it takes to keep that from happening. Goddamn weakling.
